Ms. Suchitra Madan is a learning disabilities and education expert with nearly 25 years of experience building Sahasra, an organization likely dedicated to supporting children with learning difficulties.
Her impressive background encompasses various activities: delivering presentations on learning disabilities and establishing learning centers, conducting workshops for teacher training, and even co-authoring a book on a phonics-based approach to spelling instruction. These diverse experiences all point towards a singular focus: equipping educators with effective strategies and creating dedicated spaces to empower students with learning difficulties.

Sahasra introduction
Sahasra – A Centre for Learning, founded in 2015 by Ms. Suchitra Madan and Mr. C.S. Jagannath, is dedicated to preparing students for their 10th and 12th NIOS board examinations. Our mission is to support a diverse array of learners, including those with dyslexia, a slow learning pace, hearing impairments, cerebral palsy, and individuals on the autism spectrum. Our expert educators adopt a holistic approach that blends academics with a variety of activities, ensuring personalized attention through small group sizes.
Our curriculum includes yoga, brain gym exercises, dance therapy, music, drama, and Eurythmy (movement therapy), along with physical exercise, pottery, arts and crafts, and more. In 2023, we further enriched our program by introducing a vocational unit that offers baking, cooking, and hand skills like cross-stitching, finger knitting, and weaving, as well as functional math and basic computing.
At Sahasra, we aim to provide education in a stress-free environment, empowering students to realize their full potential and integrate smoothly into society.

Mr. CS Jaganath’s career path took a unique turn, driven by a deep passion for inspiring young minds. While initially drawn to the technical and scientific fields, his life’s calling emerged in the world of education. For over fifteen years, he dedicated himself to teaching, where he developed a strong connection with students facing learning challenges. This experience ignited a fire within him, and he has since become a champion for their success.
